better error-message

Hello,
when de LDAP-server is not started en you use expand names, you get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: search()
in /usr/share/horde2/turba/lib/api.php on line 40

But when you click on search in turba, you get a more meaningful error:

"Failed to connect to the specified directory" 

Wouldn't it be better to give that errormessage also in 'expand named'?
