Problem resolved. In servers.php, I had to add novalidate-cert to the
protocol.

Okay... but is there any information on login attempts/failures/successes?

You don't need to be able to log in to a database to use IMP, really. If you

want preferences, you need some sort of backend, of course. You should check

wherever your IMAP server logs things. Can you log in to your IMAP server
with 
any other clients?

Hello,

I'm having a small problem with the spellchecker. Both the variables $ispell and
$spell_lang are undefined in /imp/spelling.php, so the variable $spell_opt is
always empty and therefore the defaultlanguage of ispell (English) is used all
the time. When I force $spell_opt to '-d nederlands' it works fine.

It seems that some on some distributions gettext doesn't work if you set 
LC_ALL to the wanted locale. Try replacing LC_ALL in lib/Registry.php or in 
the debug instructions with different LC_* available on your system and 
tell us if it works.

Surely we won't. Rather help us make translations work on all systems than 
telling us to remove translations because it works on 98% of all systems.
