Login Failures

I've had imp/horde/turba running for a while now, and all of a sudden, 
today, no users can log in.

My authentication method was set up to authenticate via IMP, which is 
using our IMAP server (non-ssl).

The only thing I am seeing in our logs is :
Dec 11 14:39:37 HORDE [info] [imp] 208.132.123.456 login
Dec 11 14:46:07 HORDE [info] [imp] FAILED LOGIN 208.132.123.456 to 
mail.mydomain.com:143[imap] as rwest
Dec 11 14:46:07 HORDE [info] [imp] 208.132.123.456 failed

Thinking that I would be proactive, I upgraded to PHP 4.1.0 and IMAP 
2001a, but neither solved the problem. [:(]

If I check the original test.php file via the web, everything looks ok..

I just noticed the following in the maillog log file:
Dec 11 14:51:42 cranium imapd[30460]: imap service init from 
208.132.123.456
Dec 11 14:51:42 cranium imapd[30460]: Command stream end of file, while 
reading line user=??? host=UNKNOWN

I'm at a loss as to where to even start.. any ideas?
