Problem with attachments

Hi,
I seem to be having problems with duplicate attachments or it seems like
it is not recognizing the mime types properly. Whenever I use IMP to
send an attachment to myself, I will see 2 attachments when I check
mail.

The first will appear as follows
[no description] multipart/mixed 600.45 KB

The second will appear as follows
2 saf28.doc application/msword 600.06KB

When I use other mail clients to send like Outlook express, there are
even more 'extra' files. I can still download the attachment and it
works but why do I get the other files as well?

I am using Red Hat 7.2 with IMP 2.2.7 installed via the RPMs.
