[imp] IMP authentication failed using php 4.0.6 and above

Hi,

Today I have found something new. After so many attempt to recompile the
PHP, I finally tried to login using another username "custom.notice". To my
surprise, the login was successful. However, whenever I try to login using
username with a dash e.g teck-seng.tew, it give the error as mentioned
below. I think there must be so problem in send the username for the login.
Can you tell me what's went wrong.
