Big trouble at compose new mail if Session time out

Hi all:
Here is my horde/config/horde.conf partial setting for
session time out (i guess):
$conf['max_exec_time'] =28800;
if it's right,user have to relogin to Horde after 8hrs
from first login.But,in fact the login screen popup
least than 8hrs (sometimes 2,3,4 hrs maybe 30mins...)
What wrong ?

And this problem will cause a very big trouble,when
user compose new mail at new windows,if the session
was time out at this moment.User sent mail and thought
it's success but actually not.the mail was lose !!
