The Horde Team is proud to announce the official release of IMP 3.0!

IMP 3.0 is the result of over two years of development based on feedback
and experienced garnered from the incredibly successful 2.2.x releases.

IMP 3.0 should be considered a production-level release.  The code
has undergone a strict testing cycle in the form of a number of public
release candidates.

IMP 3.0 includes a number of features over the IMP 2.2 series, such as:

    - complete integration with the Horde Application Framework
    - full internationalization support via GNU gettext
    - rewritten MIME capabilities
    - expanded user preferences support
    - rewritten user and administrator documentation
    - message filtering capabilities
    - multiple identity support
    - PHP 4 session support
    - greatly-enhanced user interface
    - hierachical folder view
    - message searching support
    - overall PHP 4 optimization

In short, IMP has been almost entirely rewritten for release 3.0!

IMP 3.0 includes full text translations for a number of localizations,
including:

    Brazilian Portuguese
    Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
    Czech
    Dutch
    Finnish
    French
    German
    Greek
    Italian
    Korean
    Norwegian Bokmaal
    Polish
    Russian
    Spanish
    Swedish
