no POP3 inbox listing

since imp has repeatedly decided to come up with problem after problem =
trying to read imap box's with little clues as to the problem (either it =
will crash the process trying to open the inbox if there is any mail, or =
it will open the mailbox and only see and display 4 mails at a time no =
matter what the prefs is set to...
and yes, the imap server (imap-2001a) is working fine, other imap =
clients connect and read a-ok)
ive gone to using pop3 instead, however now with pop3, it sees no emails =
at all, when there are mails present...
