Which c-client version to use?

I'm having trouble with the imap-2000c c-client.  Does someone have a 
suggestion on a better version?

I often get an empty inbox when logging in, and at the same time I 
get the following in /var/log/httpd/error_log:

[notice] child pid 12345 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

I also tried the c-client library from imap-2001a but it seems to be 
thrice as bad, with segfaults everywhere.

I'm running:
Suse 7.1 for sparc
Apache 1.3.19
PHP 4.0.6 with PEAR 4.1.0
Horde 2.0
Imp 3.0

I'm using imap via the c-client library against PMDF on VMS.

By the way:  thanks, Jan, your suggestion in "[imp] don't display 
folders at login screen?" did the job!
