Of course the option can remain there (in Options/Language). But there
should be additional way of choosing language: when the user changes the
"login page language", that change should apply to all his subsequent
work
with IMP at least for the duration of the current session.
Ideally, that change would also modify and auto-save the
Options/Language option
for that user.
Imagine a user who really does not speak a single word of English, who
only uses localized software. Such user would be IMHO very annoyed that
after she has chosen her language on the login page, she is presented a
page in English, and she is forced to call someone who understands the
words "Options" and "Language".
You can retort that such a user should be using a web browser configured
with "Accept language=cs". That is correct. But if she has not, IMHO the
above described approach is the best one from the usability viewpoint.
