Erm,

** thanks Jan,

- I have done
mysql --user=horde ...
... I guess no 'horde' or 'hordemgr' as a valid IMAP account

- Yup ... have done a lot of mess, and cleaned things up many times.. glad 
have got good backups ... I am quite novice in all this, huh. ;-)

- I have tried to login via login.php using what I think is a valid 
username (like below), still the message is the same. By the way, I have 
tried to make imp work with mysql..


** thanks for your tips, I have progressed with IMP more today than I have 
done during the past week...
