I tried using it with SHM and found it completely unusable.  I then switched
to MMAP mode and found it worked very well.  I have no timing specs though.
I eventually just disabled the slow services and disabled acp, but intend
to try it again at some point.

So, in summary, I couldn't get SHM mode to work either, but MMAP mode
seemed fine, but obviously wouldn't be as fast.
