Odd problem with CommuniGate Pro

I am testing IMP RELENG_3 against two of my POP3 servers - but only seem
to be able to log on to one of them.

Server A: qmail-popper, FreeBSD
Server B: CommuniGate Pro 3.5.4, FreeBSD

Server A works fine, but B doesn't, giving in /tmp/horde.log:

HORDE [error] [imp] FAILED LOGIN y.y.y.y (forwarded for [x.x.x.x]) to
serverb.mydomain.dom:110[pop3] as userxxx [on line 332 of
"/apache/horde-2.0/imp-3.0/lib/IMP.php"]

Here is a manual session against both servers:

# nc servera.mydomain.dom 110
+OK <35608.1014731068@servera.mydomain.dom>
user userxxx
+OK
pass xxxxxxx
+OK
quit
+OK

# nc serverb.mydomain.com 110
+OK POP3 Server ready <597450.1014731158@mydomain.dom>
user userxxx
+OK please send the PASS
pass xxxxxxx
+OK 1891 messages (89083120 bytes)
quit
+OK POP3 Server connection closed

As you can see - Server B is a bit more chatty, but should be compliant
enough.

Is there any way to increase the log level a bit, perhaps?
