CVS IMP / Horde displaying "menu" along bottom of screen..

In my IMP 3.0 installation, the Horde menu was only displayed if I logged in to 
Horde first, then followed the "Mail", but I'm seeing it in a frame along the 
bottom of the screen all of the time now.. 

I notice the the URL is no longer confined to /horde/imp - it's a much large 
URL encoded string..

Is there a way to turn the horde app menu off if the user logs into IMP 
directly?  I've not found anything in horde/config/* or horde/imp/config/*
