[imp] IMP 3.0 login problem

In horde/config/horde.php  you'll find a section including:

 $conf['prefs']['params']['password'] 

here you have to set your database access. (this line especially sets the 
password. To me it seems, you were using the 'default' password which is 
something like '****' if memory serves :)

The section is called: Preference system settings
