[imp] /tmp/mysql.sock issue

It's not just you, I ran into this exact problem at a client site
today...  I couldn't decide which to do so I just put a symlink in /tmp
pointing to the existing socket in /var  It's not an elegant solution
but it got me back up and running until I can decide who's problem it is
:-)
