Question regarding IMP/Horde configuration.

Just got IMP/Horde installed and running on a Linux server. Here are the
particulars:
- IMP version 3.0
- Horde version 2.0
- Apache 1.3.23
- PHP 4.1.2

2 problems, and the FAQ only offered limited advice:

First, I can't seem to find very much in the way of up-to-date
documentation for Horde or IMP. Most of the documentation seems to be
available for the older versions (using PHP3), and many of the
configuration files are different. Is there a source for more recent
documentation than what is available with the distributions or through the
website? (In other words, I'd be happy to RTFM, if someone would help me
find a recent version of TFM).

Second, after installing and verifying that the Horde test page (test.php)
works, I get the following error message when I try to log into Horde
(using Horde and IMP dual-authentication):

-----
object(pear_error)(7) {
   ["error_message_prefix"]=>
   string(0) ""
   ["mode"]=>
   int(1)
   ["level"]=>
   int(1024)
   ["code"]=>
   NULL
   ["message"]=>
   string(65) "Required 'phptype' not specified in authentication
configuration."
   ["userinfo"]=>
   NULL
   ["callback"]=>
   NULL
}
[/usr/local/horde/lib/Auth/sql.php : 87]
-----

Looking through sql.php, I managed to find my way back to /config/horde.php
where I had indeed specified 'phptype' as 'mysql' (and the other values
hostspec, username, password, database, and table are specified as they
should be, as far as I can tell). Is there somewhere else I need to define
'phptype'? Or... might this have to do with the fact that I haven't figured
out where to add horde users -- in the documentation, the next step after
installing is "test it out on a working IMAP or POP server"...

Help!
