I really like the colors. I find it very easy to read and use.
I did see an interesting change when I clicked on threads in
imp.  The nice orange changed to blue.  I also like the idea of the sun
background but i really can't distinguesh it on my laptop screen:-( so
for me a 37K background png that I can't see is probably not worth it.

i have volontary put two lines in html-sun-horde.php :
//$css['body']['background-color'] = '#FFFFAA';
$css['body']['background'] = 'url(/horde/graphics/fond-horde.png)';

you can disable background with "//" and enable background-color, or reduce
background picture.
(There is a speed problem with mozilla for me when background is too little).
I have test it only with mozilla 0.9.9
