IMP 3.0: Login failed

I installed Horde 2.0 and IMP 3.0. I'm running RH 7.2 and I followed the
instructions found here: http://www.geocities.com/oliversl/imp/ . Everything
went smooth and the horde test went well, now when I try to login I get
login failed and in the /var/log/secure I get this error:

Apr 10 16:32:10 hal9002 xinetd[24875]: START: imap pid=25129 from=127.0.0.1
Apr 10 16:32:11 hal9002 xinetd[25129]: FAIL: imap libwrap from=127.0.0.1
Apr 10 16:32:11 hal9002 xinetd[24875]: EXIT: imap pid=25129 duration=1(sec)

... but if I connect with a mail client (Eudora or OE) to the IMAP server i
connect no problem. Any idea? Thanks.
