[imp] IMP and Japanese Character Set

I have just received the following support email from a customer.
When I was using IMP 2.x she could read Japanese messages through
IMP. Junko is using a Japanese version of Windows/95.

I an currently using the latest version of IMP from CVS and Junko
reports that her Japanese messages are no longer displayed correctly
through IMP.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start in sorting
this problem out?

I am currently overseas and need to read my Japanese emails through
IMP - IMAP Webmail Program.  I could read them Japanese messages
when I was away last time (last Sep) but it seems that I am no longer
able to read them.  They all come up as corrupted script.  Can you tell
me how I can read them?

As I use my Triode email address as a business contact, I appreciate if
