[imp] cannot send mail using imp

why can't I send mail using IMP? imp faq says it might be the
$default->path_to_sendmail in horde/imp/config/defaults.php3 but I'm
using php4 maybe that's why I can't find it. 

Do you know where to set this one? or is it something else?
