[imp] what did I do wrong (redux)

This came up a few months ago, there was some discussion, but I'm still
having the problem - so if anyone can shed some light to help nail it, I'd
be grateful.

When initially connecting to horde, before logging in, one sees the
following in the Location (mozilla, NS) or address (IE, Opera) field:

https://loki.umdnj.edu/horde/imp/login.php?url=%2Fhorde%2Flogin.php

Then, after logging in, one sees the following until logging out:

https://loki.umdnj.edu/horde/index.php?url=%2Fhorde%2Flogin.php
(in NS, IE, Opera)
 -or-
https://loki.umdnj.edu/horde/index.php?Horde=10532d32a91827961ee3f686a0d998
6d&url=%2Fhorde%2Flogin.php%3FHorde%3D10532d32a91827961ee3f686a0d9986d
 (in Mozilla 1.0RC2)

And so on.

However, if, after logging on, you manually change the URL in the
address/location field to be https://loki.umdnj.edu/horde/ then it settles
down, and that's all you see until logout.

FWIW, I get the same behavior on four hosts (two RH linux, two Solaris 8)
with combinations of:
Apache 1.3.20 or 2.0.36
PHP 4.1.2 (w/ PHP-Accelerator) or 4.2.0 or 4.2.1
Identical versions of Horde (3.0-cvs), Imp (4.0-cvs), Turba (2.0-cvs),
etc., updated as of 5/16/02.

And, lastly, I'm using the 'application' driver and 'imp' for
authentication.

Everything else seems to be working okay.
