[imp] Help with Imap

I am having an issue logging into imp.

I am using the newest RPM version of PHP
I am also using the newest RPM verion of IMAP (2001a-10)

When I try to login it tells me that my username or password is 
wrong....and this shows up in /var/log/messages

Jun  2 07:40:48 herion imapd[1416]: imap service init from <ip addr of imp  server>
Jun  2 07:40:48 herion imapd[1416]: Command stream end of file, while reading line user=??? host=UNKNOWN


Anyone have any ideas?
