HEAD CVS code as of yesterday afternoon. When I view a message that has
no Subject header, IMP is showing a subject line with the text "S" in it.
So, for example, the following is what I see in IMP for the headers:
Date: Wed, 5 Jun 2002 02:00:14 -0500
From: daemon@physics.utexas.edu
To: root@nis1.ph.utexas.edu
Subject: S
Headers: Show All Headers
[Message text here]
But this is the message headers (From the "message source" link)
Return-Path: <daemon@nis1.ph.utexas.edu>
Received: from nis1.ph.utexas.edu (nis1.ph.utexas.edu [128.83.155.23])
by pcgxmt1.ph.utexas.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id CAA01865;
Wed, 5 Jun 2002 02:21:59 -0500
Received: (from daemon@localhost) by nis1.ph.utexas.edu (AIX4.3/8.9.3/8.8.8) id
CAA14600 for root; Wed, 5 Jun 2002 02:00:14 -0500
Date: Wed, 5 Jun 2002 02:00:14 -0500
From: daemon@physics.utexas.edu
Message-Id: <200206050700.CAA14600@nis1.ph.utexas.edu>
To: root@nis1.ph.utexas.edu
[Message text here]
So IMP is getting an "S" for the subject where non exists (maybe an
off-by-one error?)

"TAD (Technology Attachment Disorder) is an unshakable, impractical devotion
to a brand, platform, product line, or programming language. It's relatively
harmless among the rank and file, but when management is afflicted the damage
can be measured in dollars. It's also contagious -- someone with sufficient
political clout can infect an entire organization."
