    I wonder if it makes more sense to grab the release and update, as opposed
to running RC2...  When I installed it originally, RC2 was the latest in the
3.1 series.  Now I see it's been officially released, so perhaps that will
solve the problem?  (And I never used the CVS, I just grabbed the tar balls.)
