[imp] Maintenance operations don't work; can't view HTML messages

Hi list.
I managed to set up IMP and it works. I have 2 problems though:
 1. Maintenance operations won't work (I set it to empty trash folder daily, it
didn't; then, I set it to empty trash every login, and though I get Maintenance
Operations menu before seeing INBOX and I select to empty trash, nothing
happens). Any idea?...
 2. I can't read HTML messages. I set
$mime_drivers['imp']['html']['inline']=true, but still can't read correctly HTML
messages.

I have Horde 2.1, Imp 3.1, PHP 4.2.2, apache 1.3.26
