This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment
I am sending this to the IMP mailing list=20
so that someone might find it useful.
Initially I tested IMP3.1 on RHLinux 7.2 with the
following config -
Horde: 2.1
IMP: 3.1
Turba: 1.1
Apache-1.3.23-11
php-4.1.2-0horde1
Red Hat Linux 7.2
Then I tested it on RHLinux 7.3 -
Horde: 2.1
IMP: 3.1
Turba: 1.1
Apache-1.3.23-14
php-4.1.2-7
Red Hat Linux 7.3
In either case I had two problems -
1) Compose window would not close and
showed a DNS error page although the
message got sent.
Following were the log entries on my server -
1. Log entry in /tmp/horde.log -
Jul 24 19:18:30 HORDE [info] [imp] 202.141.151.173=20
Message sent to "Parag Godkar" <paragg@konark.ncst.ernet.in>
from paragg [on line 856 of "/var/www/html/horde/imp/compose.php"]
2. Log entry in /etc/httpd/logs/error.log
[Wed Jul 24 19:18:31 2002] [notice] child pid 10505=20
exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
2) The date of messages in mailbox folder
and sentmail folder sometimes showed wrong
dates.
SOLUTION -=20
----------------
Then Mr. Maiko suggested the following link as a=20
possible solution to verify a bug in php ... date('r') -
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D67385.
Accordingly I replaced every occurance of "date('r')" with
"strftime('%a, %e %b %Y %T %z')" in ..../horde/imp/compose.php.
This solves both my problems.
Hope many people would find this useful
as there were quite a few questions on these=20
problems in the mailing list archives but no proper solution.
Regards,
Parag Godkar.
