[imp] Bug in mail-sending routine

There is a bug in the routine where IMP talks to a SMTP server and
sends the content of a mail. In SMTP, a "." on a line by itself ends
the DATA portion of the mail.

If you create a mail in IMP that contains a "." on a line by itself,
the rest of that mail will not be sent, and a "sendmail error 255" is
produced.
