[imp] headers/dates don't show (c-client?)

When listing messages in a folder, the date, from, and subject fields
aren't showing proper information.  The from field contain's "..." -
the subject field contains "..." which is an active link to the
message itself - which, when clicked, does display properly with all
info.  When messages don't have a subject line, the field is properly
displayed as "[No Subject]".  

Might this have anything to do with the fact that my the imap library
php was compiled with came with UW's imap server and the imap server
I'm trying to reach is courier (using maildirs)?
