I am running cyrus-imapd-2.0.16_2 and cyrus-sasl-1.5.27_1 together with
postfix-20020107 and the anti virus amavisd-20020531_1 in a FreeBSD 4.5 box.
Everything works good but now and then, about two times a day, the Cyrus imap
goes into troubles.
I know may be it is not the right list but if someone could help me .....
Only after I stop and start the daemon service again it comes back working good !
I notice that when the problem happens I see a lot of deliver processes and the
master process running but nothing about imapd....
As you can see ...
# ps -U cyrus
......
16060 ?? Is 0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m renato
16070 ?? Is 0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m tubino16091 ?? Is
0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m gilberto
16101 ?? Is 0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m tubino
16113 ?? Is 0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m nquintas
16121 ?? Is 0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m fabio16135 ?? Is
0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m jonas
16145 ?? Is 0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m pablo
16155 ?? Is 0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m barbara
16163 ?? Is 0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m alines16165 ?? Is
0:00.01 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/deliver -e -m alines
12115 p0 S 0:01.44 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/master
After I do restart de cyrus I can see something like
# ps -U cyrus
PID TT STAT TIME COMMAND
20324 p0 S 0:00.67 /usr/local/cyrus/bin/master
21645 p0 I 0:00.08 imapd: imapd: localhost.suprg[127.0.0.1] glenio us
21647 p0 I 0:00.02 imapd: imapd: localhost.suprg[127.0.0.1] (imapd)
Could you give me any idea what is going on ?
How can I monitor this situation so that when the problem happens the system
restart the Cyrus ?
I know may be it is not the right list but if someone could help me .....
Sorry for my bad English and thanks in advance !
