[imp] Authentification by PAM - Prefs in Mysql

Hi everybody,

I try hard to get imp 3.0 working with authentification by
password/shadow-files, however you do not have the possibility to save the
user-prefs.

Does anybody have an idea, how i can get this working, that i can leave my
authentification on the /etc/passwd /etc/shadow and i can save my
user-preferences in a mysql-database?

any help for a rookie is appreciated, thx!
