[imp] Authentification by PAM - Prefs in Mysql

How you authenticate and where you store your preferences have nothing
to do with each other.  You can authenticate via imap (which in turn can
authenticate via passwd file), and set up your prefs to store in an sql
database.

Sure, just set up the prefs in horde/config/horde.conf to use sql.
