[imp] IMP test.php

I receive the following error when running the IMP test.php

Notice: Unexpected untagged message: BYE, (errflg=1) in Unknown on line 0

I'm assuming this has something to do with the reason I'm unable to display
messages inline.

Is there any merit to setting up IMP to use POP3 instead of IMAP?  I
followed the instructions on using a POP3 server but each time trying to
login get an authentication error.
