There is one in php, which hence affects horde/imp.

See your php.ini file for the session settings, in particular 
session.gc_maxlifetime, session.gc_probability and session.cookie_lifetime.
There is pretty good docs on them at www.php.net (somewhere in there, under
'sessions').
