[imp] Funky folders in IMAP mailboxes

There are some funky folders showing up (folder names that have two question
marks) in our IMAP mailboxes after someone accesses them using IMP.  I
haven't narrowed down the exact sequence but it is somehow related to
connecting to IMP and being physically disconnected before logging out.
