[imp] Getting closer

I'm getting closer to getting it all working.. I get the login screen now. 
It looks like it is trying to authenticate using imap by default.. Should I 
change that to pop? If so how do I do that? I'm getting messages like this 
in the log file:

Dec 28 18:07:05 HORDE [error] [imp] FAILED LOGIN 12.220.86.204 to 
mail.wsicnslt.com:143[imap/notls] as jrainspop at mydomain.com [on line 270 of 
"/home/wwwuser/portalplanet.net/horde/imp/lib/IMP.php"]

I don't know if I'm running imap on this server.
