That's nice.

People (i.e., the developers who use this daily) would probably have noticed
this; if they hadn't, it's not likely to be quite so broken as you claim. We
have no idea what IMAP server you're running, and some of them don't
implement searching correctly or at all. And there are all kinds of other
things that go into a useful bug report, none of which are above.
