let me rephrase.

i would like the imp login page to redirect the user to one of
six+ imap mailstores, based upon their username/password.

ie. user would enter their user name and password, their
imap mailstore, domain etc. would be looked up from a
database.

seemed simple at first, replace logon.php with login.cgi that gets
some session info from logon.php, asks the user for username &
password, does the lookup then fills in the form fields, then issues
a server redirect pointed to redirect.php.

it's not working as well as i had hoped...
