   This question is somehow intersting to me. To me, I do not generally like 
the line either. To me, the text/html is the same as text/plain because IMP 
user agent handles the conversion between plain text and html. But it does not 
bother me too much. 
 
   But some people might feel it helpful to use the download icon (function) 
when they really want to save the message body as a file, the same way they do 
to a a Doc, or JPG file.  
 
   If your real concern is regarding why a text/plain message becomes a 
text/html message when sent from Yahoo, do not check "allow HTML tags" when 
composing from within Yahoo.
