[imp] Using MailScanner with Horde

Hi,
          I installed MailScanner from http://www.mailscanner.info
I tested it by sending mails through Outlook/Eudora and the mails do get 
scanned for outgoing and incoming emails. (Virus and Spam checks)
But When I send mail through Horde/IMP the Mail does not get scanned.

$conf['mailer']['type'] = 'sendmail';
$conf['mailer']['params'] = array();
$conf['mailer']['params'] = array('sendmail_path' => '/usr/sbin/sendmail');
$conf['mailer']['params'] = array('host' => 'smtp.krishna.com');

I tried to use 'smtp' option also, but I get message as "data could not be 
sent"
