Ah, then I have no idea.  My understanding is that Horde 2.2 doesn't need
HCEMD5, and I don't think it was re-introduced into 2.2.1 though I've not
checked...

Only thing I can say is grab an old version of HCEMD5 from an old PEAR and
see if it helps.  Shouldn't be needed, but maybe it would get you going?
