I am so ashamed I did not see this, instantly obvious when the dir's are
not mixed with the files.

Icons now appear, turba does not. More reading to do:-)

Just to clear up things the apache server runs as nobody/nogroup, this
particular site being served has the account of hinwick and since horde
is in this account I made sure that the horde stuff had the same uid,
though I was thinking of making the horde tree www.www.

The ldap stuff is still not working so I cannot yet get the address book
working, any recommendations on any good how-to's for openLDAP for
freeBSD would be welcome, the google I did brought up plenty of stuff
but no simple how-to's.

I want to use LDAP, because we also use Eudora, so it would be nice to
have a centralised directory service.

I notice in the turba config files that it has localsql, I thought this
should be sql?

The new IMP feels great, but yet to see how it works with our old Acorn
machines and the web browser Fresco, which worked fine for IMP 2.2.4.

I still have the old horde folder with old IMP intact, but not linked so
maybe I can have both working con-currently if the Acorn browser fails
with the new IMP.

Cheers.
