I have never touched Cyrus, but have thought about trying it (if it's
free... I'm a no-budget production over here :) As for giving POP3 access,
one of my clients (a couple of hundred users on a slow SPARC running Solaris
2.5.1) has opted to go with UW's ipop3d, which is a POP3 daemon with the
IMAP engine as its back-end. VERY good performance, and it plays nice with
imapd. All of my boxes were using QualComm's QPopper, but it is not
friendly with sharing the mailbox.
