[imp] TLS/SSL failure _ or_no recognized SASL authenticator

horde2.2.3, 
imp3.2.1
php 4.3.2
Apache/1.3.26 
Obtained and installed certificates.

I try to test my imap server on imp's test.php
This is what I get.

if i put pot 143/notls
I get
