[imp] Cannot use password with a \ in it to login to imap server

Doesn't work for me in horde. ???

I did the following in the IMAP later and found:

* OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4REV1 LOGIN-REFERRALS STARTTLS AUTH=LOGIN] host.domain.com
IMAP4rev1 2001.315rh at Sat, 14 Jun 2003 22:59:06 +0800 (SGT)
00 login testslash test\slash
00 BAD Missing or invalid argument to LOGIN
00 login testslash test\\slash
00 BAD Missing or invalid argument to LOGIN

but, strangely horde gives me the following message:

Jun 14 23:01:30 HORDE [error] [imp] FAILED LOGIN xxx.xxx.x.xxx to
localhost:143[imap/notls] as testslash [on line 260 of
"/var/www/webmail/horde/imp/lib/IMP.php"]

and I get nothing but the following in my /var/log/maillog:

Jun 14 23:01:14 zia imapd[13792]: imap service init from 127.0.0.1

** So, I did a little more dig up and found out that if protocol is imap/notls
then doesn't work, but with normal 'imap' protocol works fine.
