Jorge Izquierdo tried to answer your question and point you to the
explaination of why this is so. Instead of listening to him and checking
out the pointer he gave, you decide to rant about how unfair life is.

Remind me again why I'm replying to this message???

PHP's pop3 support is in the imap module. There is no separate pop3 module.
Since imap is a superset of pop3, it would be very redundent to have two
modules, as code would be duplicated between them, and the executable would
be larger and more complex/difficult when both were included.

> in theoretical level - horde/imp shloud look if my php have no imap support

I believe if you check test.php it will indeed check if you have it or not,
and let you know that you don't.

> imp shouldn't use imap functions ;/ ane let me use POP3 server only

It does exactly that. If you say you want to use pop3 only, it will only
use pop3 functions. It just so happens those pop3 functions are imap
functions.

This has nothing to do with IMP. It is purely a php issue. If you don't
like it take it up with the php developers, not the IMP developers.

Best of luck!

Thanks to Jorge Izquierdo for the wonderful response that was
unfortunately ignored.
