[imp] username is different in horde and imp

Hi,
 
Hope someone can point me in the right direction. When I log onto horde
directly (i.e. not setting it to use IMP as login application), it logs me
on as "username". But when I log on to it using IMP as the login application
(via horde/config/conf.php), it logs me on as " <mailto:username at domain.com>
username at domain.com". This creates a problem, as it stores preferences,
turba entries, etc in my sql DB as two different users. Is there a way of
forcing it to log me on as "username at domain.com <mailto:username at domain.com>
" when logging onto horde (without having to type it in the login box)?
