[imp] Problem with sort and courier-imap

I'm switching our mail server from wu_imap to courier-imap (so we are 
changing from mbox to maildir format).

A strange thing happens with the new server: IMP doesn't correctly sort 
messages if ordered by id (order received)! Some message is bad sorted, 
especially the first and the last one, but some other (apparently 
random) message too...

Please note that the messages are correctly ordered if I access the 
mailbox with another IMAP client (Mozilla Mail&News).

I don't know what else to look at.
Anybody here can give me a suggestion?
