[imp] redhat 9 (2.4.20-20.9) and IMP errors

I can hear everyone already: "Did you bother to read the INSTALL file?"...

Problem solved by doing the necessary "pear install ..." commands (as
documented in the INSTALL file and the FAQ).

Next problem:
Now it only opens the IMP login screen, but all that's displayed on the
screen is the welcome note at the top, i.e. no login box.

Suggestions?

Getting the following errors when opening IMP in a browser:
 
   Warning: Failed opening 'Log.php' for inclusion

line 3
   Notice: Use of undefined constant PEAR_LOG_INFO - assumed 'PEAR_LOG_INFO'
in /var/www/html/horde/imp/login.php on line 47
   Fatal error: Undefined class name 'log' in
/var/www/html/horde/lib/Horde.php on line 73
 
These come up instead of the login screen.
 
Using an out-of-the-box RedHat 9 installation updated to all latest patches.
Latest CVS horde/imp as of 15 minutes ago. Using IMP for authentication to
my imap server.
 
I'm suspecting RedHat 9 comes with some missing/necessary PHP/pear parts.
 
# rpm -qa | grep -i php
php-4.2.2-17.2
php-imap-4.2.2-17.2

Thanks. Any help will be appreciated.

PS. On my other PROD box, I got this working by installing the php rpm's
provided by Horde, but I'm sure this isn't the only way, right?
