Hi,
One user replied to my problem just now and I accidentally removed the 
reply.
The  versions of applications used for building:

    C compiler: gcc 2.95.2
    bison 1.28
    flex 2.5.4

Dear All,

This problem may not be related to imp directly but all I want is to get 
imp running.

I wanted to compile php in order to get imp set up for web mail and ran 
into problem.

When I ran:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php.4.3.2 --with-mysql 
--with-imap=/usr/local/imap-2002d/c-client --with-apxx=/usr/apache/bin/apxs

creating cache ./config.cache
checking host system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.8
Updated main/php_version.h

The configuration just stopped there forever. Pls advise in solving the 
problem.

Related information:
    - Solaris 8 on E280.
    - apache 1.3.28 with openssl 0.9.7b
    - php 4.3.2
